Short description“Derailed!â€?is a couch co-op multiplayer game where you have to work together with your friends to build a train track across endless procedurally generated worlds. Master random encounters with both friendly and hostile inhabitants, upgrade your train and keep it from derailing! Detailed description“Derailed!â€?is a couch-coop time management game in the likes of “Overcookedâ€? The playersâ€?goal is it to continue an unfinished train track, upon which their train continues its course with ever increasing speed, so that the train does not reach the track’s end and derails. Players craft track pieces using two resources which can be gathered on the map and bringing them to a crafting wagon attached to the train. Wood can be gathered by chopping down trees with an axe and iron by mining mountain blocks with a pickaxe. Additionally, to keep the steam engine of the train cooled, the players have to fill a bucket at lakes and rivers on the map. Every player controls its own character walking on a procedurally created map gradually extending to the right. It begins as a typical swiss landscape with mountains, trees and rivers and changes to a snow, a desert and a lava landscape over course of a playthrough.The map itself is shown by a top down, isometric camera that includes all players in the same window. Scattered over the map are train stations that grant the players additional wagons, coming with unique capabilities. These range from additional crafting wagons, over water tank wagons helping to keep the engine cool, to a dynamit wagon that speeds up mining and helps the players to defend themselves against the different foes from the various environments. From a visual standpoint, the game is kept in a consistent and charming low-poly look. The voyage is four years long: every passenger is put in cryo-sleep and NIM, the AI of the ship, will construct a special simulation to help prepare them for their upcoming mission. The puzzles will stimulate their cognitive intelligence, and personal memories will stimulate their emotional intelligence.We will have six episodes in total, one per character, and the setting, the memories and the puzzles will be different for each character.
